I think it's a surprise to us both that February is already here. 2011 ended in a flurry and 2012 has started off the same. We had a fantastic holiday season with a trip to Kentucky and Fort Mill to visit with friends and family. New Years was truly amazing as we saw Avett Brothers in concert at the Bilo Center in Greenville in our front row seats. Larkin and Ginny generously hosted us and Dakota for that weekend. We were back in the upstate a few weeks later. I had the unique pleasure of staying at the Milliken Guest House in Spartanburg while attending the USGBC state meeting. Johanna helped host the bridal shower for her Converse friend Colby. It was a fantastic weekend hanging out with her college friends. That Sunday we drove to the Ikea Store in Charlotte to pick up some items and had dinner with our friend Jenn.
The year has also started out with some potential professional developments for both of us.
In addition, Johanna and I have both moved into new places. I'm living with our good friends Brian and Nancy in the Carolina Forest area. Johanna has moved in with an old high school friend, Ashley, to a beautiful condo overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. I'm writing this post now sitting on the balcony overlooking the water, sun is shining, warm breeze blowing. It's easy to see why this year will bring even more wonderful adventures together.
